- A SIC is a paper company to enhance fund raising from investors. Therefore, on the behalf of SIC,the Ship Investment Management Company enter into the agreements with a Shipping Company,a Shipbuilder, a Custody Company, Banks, Financial Institutions, and all other related parties.
- Overseas Subsidiary
- For the purpose of tax benefits and convenience for international debt financing, an SIC establishes an overseas subsidiary (SPC. special purpose company) to acquire, own, and charter the vessels. The establishment of an overseas subsidiary by a SIC is governed by regulations of Foreign Exchange Control Act.
